50 Cent took to Twitter Friday (June 15) to unveil the official artwork for his fifth studio album, “Five (Murder By Numbers).” The artwork comes three days after 50 revealed the album title during an interview with Philly’s Hot 107.9.
The cover features a large bold No. 5 knocked out of a deteriorating concrete wall. Through the cracks, one can see a seemingly-abandoned warehouse up in licking red flames.
Although he’s had a rocky history with Interscope Records, 50 says he owes them all the success he’s had. “With Interscope, all the success I’ve had in music has been with them,” 50 Cent told Hot 107.9. “My frustration with this crew is this the only crew I’d work with and had any success with. I’d definitely would focus on working with Interscope Records cause I don’t any other place where I could have the same success.”
50 assures fans that his long-awaited opus, featuring Eminem, Lloyd Banks, and Busta Rhymes, will not be delayed once more. “I said I was gonna put a record out that was completely up to album standard and I’m gonna do that. I worked on this album for a long time,” he continued. “It’s been three years.”
