Atlanta, Ga – Pandora, the leading internet radio service, today announced Atlanta based artist Yelawolf as the latest performer for Pandora Presents, the company’s series of live, personalized concerts. The event will be brought to listeners free of charge, courtesy of the Jeep® brand, and will take place at The Loft in Atlanta on Thursday, June 14.
At the Atlanta event, there will be a pre-show tailgate, where fans can experience the new Jeep® Altitude Editions and enjoy beats and eats catered by Sweet Auburn BBQ. Pandora listeners can look forward to additional Pandora Presents concerts, courtesy of Jeep, in Los Angeles (July) and Chicago (September).
Pandora looks at artist spin and thumb data to find the right mix of musical preferences, artists and locations. Invitations to the event are then extended to listeners living near the respective location, who have demonstrated an affinity for the chosen artist or other similar artists.
Pandora Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Tim Westergren said, “Connecting Yelawolf to his fans, and to new listeners who might enjoy his sound is core to our mission of helping artists build their audiences, and providing fans with a truly personalized music experience both on and offline.”
Alabama born Rapper Yelawolf said, “I can’t wait to perform a free show just for all my Pandora fans in Atlanta. The opportunity to play to an audience in the South that I know enjoys my music is a recipe for a great show with a wild and fun crowd.”
Mike Manley, President and CEO, Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC said, “Sponsoring the Pandora Presents concert series allows the Jeep brand to introduce a new set of consumers to the Jeep brand in a unique and creative setting that provides a memorable consumer experience.”
For fans who did not receive an invitation online, a limited number of free tickets will be available at the tailgate event beginning at 7:00 p.m. on June 14. At each concert, the Jeep brand will also host a Twitter give-away, where attendees will have a chance to win tickets to the concert and could attend a meet-and-greet with the artist.
