Jennifer Hudson is riding the wave of her most recent win at the NAACP Image Awards, using momentum as inspiration to record new music this summer. After winning the award for her sophomore album I Remember Me, Hudson is on a quest to achieve irrefutable celebrity status. The former Dreamgirls star is even stepping back into the world of film, preparing for a new movie titled Lullaby.
“I’m just now getting back out there and into my rhythm again,” said Hudson as she posed on the red carpet at Samsung’s Hope For Children Gala earlier this week. Back into the swing of things includes recording new music for her third album and shooting scenes for Lullaby, a great deal to handle for someone who just closed an intense murder trial for the death of her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew. Hudson admitted that she is taking things one day at a time.
Hitting somewhat close to home, Lullaby details the story of a son and the actions of his estranged father. Hudson will be acting alongside Amy Adams, Garrett Hedlund and Terrance Howard.
