Kanye West Outearns Beyonce For BET Awards 2012 Nominations

Kanye West has yet another dominating run at an awards show – this time it’s the upcoming BET Awards. Kanye leads with seven nominations largely in part to his collaboration with Jay-Z on Watch the Throne. The duo garnered five nominations together. Beyonce, Jay-Z’s wife and friend of Kanye West wasn’t far behind with six nominations. The trio is so dominating that they each earned two nominations for Video of Year leaving room for only Usher with ‘Climax’!

The BET Awards will be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium on July 1st. Confirmed performers include Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj.

The next question is whether Kanye West will bring Kim Kardashian and whether Beyonce and Jay-Z will show up. If you know anything about the BET Awards is that the A-List entertainers always find something else to do. JS
