American Idol will crown its newest winner tonight and judge Jennifer Lopez is excited to see who takes the prize. She took to Twitter to encourage her followers to watch the show. “We’re down to the final 2 on @AmericanIdol. Find out more about Jessica Sanchez & Phillip Phillips and watch this week,” she tweeted before the first part of the show that aired on Tuesday night.
Lopez is rumored to be performing during the second part of the finale, according to Radar Online. According to the source she is set to perform her single “Follow the Leader.”
“She’s been working hard for months on this,” the source said to Radar Online. “She’s super excited to perform it.”
There has also been speculation over whether or not Lopez would be returning to Idol as a judge next season. As of right now, the “I’m Real” singer is undecided. “There is no truth to reports that say I am definitely leaving ‘Idol’,” she tweeted last week. “All I said was I haven’t decided what I am doing next year.”
