Chris Brown may have given the performance of his life at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards but one artist who wasn’t even in attendance had nothing nice to say. Pink, real name Alecia Moore, took to twitter to trash the artist soon after his performance,
“One day if I lipsync, I hope I do it as well as him.”
The criticism is not surprising, Brown’s performance was heavily focused on his choreography and less on his voice. But the contention seems unnecessary since it’s widely known and accepted that Chris Brown can sing – whether he chooses to display that voice during a performance is a prerogative of his team.
Chris wasn’t the only one coming under fire. Pink’s husband Carey Hart jumped on the bashing bandwagon to slam Katy Perry’s performance,
“I’m pretty sure I saw my wife did [sic] that same performance, but she was 3 months pregnant and actually sang the song.”
Is a performance less of a performance if the artist lip synch’s?
