Nicki Minaj’s hour set at Hordern Pavillion in Sydney has many parents wondering what they agreed to when they gave their children the green light for the colorful Harajuku Barbie tour.
No, not the over-the-top outfits or the neon-color wigs, but the explicit lyrics has parents clutching their pearls. LOL!
While the “Super Bass” rapper had no issues with keeping the crowd entertained with energetic choreography and a crunk DJ, some parents didn’t know what to make of Minaj’s potty mouth.
We think parents should know what their children are listening to especially if they are footing the tickets – not to mention since MInaj has publicly defended her explicit lyrics.
Meanwhile, Minaj’s rider list surfaced and it’s tame.
The sometime-Roman alter ego had to have contact lens solution, two space heaters, a cool-mist humidifier, 12 cans of Red Bull (six at room temperature, six iced) and 24 bottles of Snapple. Belgian waffles are a must with syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream, butter and strawberries. Minaj also requested three 12-piece buckets of fried chicken with lots of wings and no thighs.
More of her list included items for a sensible salad and a deli tray with turkey breast, grilled chicken breast, whole-wheat bread or rolls, yellow mustard, and other condiments. Nothing outlandish, right?
Do you think children should see Minaj in concert? In other Barbie news, the singer-rapper exchanged some tongue with Queensbridge rapper Nas and Chris Brown for her latest video “Right By My Side” off her “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” CD.
