CBS might have hurt the hearts of all the Martin Lawrence fans out here. The network has recently decided to drop the TV show that was slated to air soon, starring the veteran comedian.
Lawrence was set to play the role of a widowed father of two teenagers who, after losing his job as a construction worker, decides to go to the police academy and become a cop at the age of 46.
CBS had actually given the comedy TV show the green light but decided to pull the plug later. As of now, there hasn’t been any official word on why the network didn’t pursue the pilot.
Regina Hall and John Amos were also set to co-star in the untitled sitcom.
Martin Lawrence came to fame during the 1990s. The star may be most known for his work on his own self-titled television sitcom, Martin, which aired from 1992 to 1997. The actor also starred in the films Bad Boys, Blue Streak, and Big Momma’s House.
