Singer Aubrey O’Day has been eliminated from Celebrity Apprentice, leaving American Idol alum Clay Aiken and TV personality Arsenio Hall to compete for the top prize. The contestants were given a chance to plead their cases after Donald Trump said only two of them would make it to the finals.
O’Day was cut from the competition after Trump told her she was “transparent,” echoing the sentiments of guest advisors and former competitors John Rich and Marlee Matlin. As the O’Day left, she had a message for her critics. “Whoever said I’m transparent, f–k them,” said the former Danity Kane singer. “I’m somebody that stands in your face and is so bright and shines so big that you’re either intimidated, you’re annoyed or you’re in love.”
With O’Day eliminated, Hall and Aiken were assigned their projects and got to work. In a twist common on reality shows, past cast members were brought back to help them with their projects. The teams had to plan and fundraise for a charity event in addition to creating a public service announcement for each charity. The planning was relatively drama-free with the exception of a tift between Aiken and team member Debbie Gibson over a mural. Viewers will have to wait until next week to see how the competition concludes. The live season finale will premiere on Sunday at 9 p.m. EST.
