Love & Hip Hop Shakeup: Emily Bustamante, Chrissy Lampkin Quit

The third season of ‘Love and Hip Hop’ will be missing a few of its veteran stars. Emily Bustamante confirmed via Twitter yesterday she will not return for another season.

“There will be a 3rd Season of #loveandhiphop NY but I will not be a cast member. The show was a great experience.. Thank you Mona & Stefan.” “But…. You won’t miss me for long Wink hmmm.. #Vh1.”

It’s obvious Emily B is dropping hints about a possible spinoff. Could it be about her clothing label, styling celebrities or a family show with her and boyfriend rapper Fabolous? It’s unclear but I’m certain we’ll find out soon.

Next up to quit is Chrissy Lampkin and her fiance Jim Jones. It was believed that Chrissy and Jim were the ones who approached VH1 with a reality show concept that later morphed into Love & Hip Hop thanks to producer Mona Scott Young. However, Jim Jones’ mother, affectionately known as Mama Jones, let the cat out of the bag during an interview  on Coast 97.3 where she stated that Jim and Chrissy are shopping their new reality show but VH1 would get first dibs,

“We definitely are giving them the first one—the first bid,” said Nancy. Don’t expect to see Chrissy plan her wedding to Jim on the spinoff either, “I don’t know about their wedding yet. We’re jumping the gun on that one, but I do know they are going to have a show.”

A prospective name for the show is “Jim & Chrissy” – time will tell.

Will Love & Hip Hop be the same without Jim Jones, Chrissy Lampkin and Emily B?
