Lindsay Lohan has mentioned that she would like it if Gerard Butler was cast opposite her in the Lifetime movie Liz and Dick. The upcoming film is a biopic based on Elizabeth Taylor’s crazy relationship with Richard Burton, who Taylor married twice.
“He actually does remind me of [Burton] a lot,” said Lohan, when Butler’s name was floated during an interview with Access Hollywood last night. But she isn’t so sure that the actor would agree to participate in the television film. “I don’t know if he would do that,” she admitted.
Lohan and Butler’s paths have crossed before when, according to a source, the two kissed and danced together at a party in Morocco back in 2009. Another source also claimed that in 2010, the two left a party together in Beverly Hills.
Lohan says she is excited to portray Taylor regardless of who is playing the male lead. “I’m really lucky to be able to do this role,” said Lohan. “I just want to honor her the way that she should be honored, because she’s helped a lot of people in her life.”
