Lindsay Lohan Confirmed For Elizabeth Taylor Lifetime Biopic 'Liz and Dick'

Lindsay Lohan may be on her way to getting her career back on track after solidifying a role as Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime biopic about the legendary actress, titled Liz and Dick.

In her first major leading role since the 2009 ABC Family movie Labor Pains,  Lohan will portray Taylor during the time she was involved in a  tumultuous romance with actor Richard Burton.

Liz and Dick will be executive produced by Larry A. Thompson (Lucy & Desi), and  Christopher Monger (Temple Grandin) wrote the script. While no director has been announced for the Elizabeth Taylor biopic yet, it is scheduled to begin shooting sometime in June.

Lohan, whose career has suffered considerably since having a string of run-ins with the law, expressed how excited and honored she is to be playing the part.

“I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor,” Lohan said in a statement. “She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”
