Mel Gibson May File Lawsuit Against Joe Eszterhas For Releasing Audio Recording Of Profanity-Laden Meltdown

Mel Gibson is considering filing a lawsuit against Joe Eszeterhas for secretly recording him spewing a profanity-ridden rant at his Costa Rican home.

TMZ is reporting that an unnamed source says the Braveheart actor believes his “basic human right to privacy” has been violated.

Gibson’s camp is reportedly looking into Costa Rican law to determine if recording laws were violated. Even if they weren’t, Gibson believes his right of privacy was violated by the release of the audio, and may pursue litigation against Eszerterhas in U.S. courts.

In the very explicit recording, Gibson can be heard screaming, “What the f**k have you been doing”, to  Eszterhas for not making progress on the Maccabes script they were working on together.   Gibson then turned his rage onto his ex-girlfriend and baby mother, Oksana Grigorieva, shouting, “I am earning money for a filthy little c**ksucker who takes advantage of me.”

The recording was made by Eszterhas’s son Nick, which then made its way into the hands of the good people at The Wrap, who posted a copy on their site.

In earlier reports, Eszterhas made allegations against Gibson saying the actor also ranted against Jews and expressed pleasure that John Lennon was shot and killed, however none of this can be heard on the tape.
