Khloe Kardashian is in defense mode after the official word of husband Lamar Odom’s dismissal from the Dallas Mavericks on Monday – after four measly months with the team.
“Never a dull moment,” she tweeted after news hit of Lamar’s let-go.”You deserve so much better. Know your worth and know your skills that have been proven and earned!”
After Twitter backlash for insinuating all blame went towards the Mavericks and none for her now-inactive status hubby, the reality star backpedaled, insisting her “encouraging tweet” had nothing to do with Lamar.
Having some time to rethink her choice of words, the 27-year-old, was more reserved and cautious as she made her appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show. (The Kardashians move quick!)
“We’re sad that especially with the season almost over and we’re not able to finish the season with the Mavericks,” she said more politically correct. “But it’s been such an amazing organization to be part of and to move to Dallas even though it was short, except for those tornados.”
Khloe stayed on the offensive avoiding any real discussion about the “parting of ways” between Odom and the Mavericks, so what gives?
According to the Post, a string of drama from Odom’s life imparted too many emotions that he couldn’t keep in check while on-court, eliciting some of the worse performances in his basketball career—averaging 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
“They grew tired of his BS and kicked him to the curb,” an NBA source told Page Six. “[The team] didn’t need someone pouting like a little kid.” (Yikes!)
Sources say Odom grew depressed from being traded from the Lakers. This along with taking a leave of absence in February to care for his father who “reportedly” fell ill which preceded his driver fatally striking a 15-year-old pedestrian were all breaking points. On top of that stress, sources also tout having to be “on” before reality cameras for “Khloe and Lamar” didn’t help his already strained environment.
“When he wasn’t playing well, it meant he looked bad,” said a source. “And when you have a show about your life, when you are off-court, you have to deal with the producers asking all those questions. He had a horrible summer, but…he was more concerned about the cameras and how he looked.”
Has Lamar Odom been officially hit by the Kardashian jinx?!
