Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez & Kim K Style: How To Wear Short Shorts

When I think of hot pants, I instantly think of Daisy Duke---the actual character from the Dukes of Hazzard sitcom in the 80’s. She wore her itty bitty cheek pushers seamlessly. While Daisy often strutted the same (at least it seemed like the same) thigh-high blue denim cut-offs, the comeback hot pants this season boasts a look suitable for any lady willing to push the envelope for a little fun. Per usual, Rihanna was one of the first ladies on the scene to rock the tantalizing look this spring. The “Birthday Cake” singer tried the short shorts in a girly way, think Lucy of “I Love Lucy” turned Thelma from “Good Times” kinda way---really cute. Then the Barbadian beauty went totally left with her second hot pant flaunt. Let’s just say, the leather upper thigh-high boots with a cropped sweater made it difficult to discern exactly what Rihanna was trying to convey. Moving forward, peep Rihanna’s ode to yesteryear hot pants look and a few other celebs that are cheek-happy about the short shorts comeback. Rihanna’s Jean Short Shorts: Rihanna is working the jean hot pant and is giving Daisy Duke a run for her money. Pairing the itsy bitty shorts with heels can be tricky, but the girlishness of her chosen pumps tones the uber sexiness down. And don’t forget to try the colored denim look---the rainbow is endless. Ciara’s Floral Short Shorts: Can I just scream about how cute these are?? Not to mention, Ciara’s taut body is making these everything. If you’re not into florals this spring (or ever), try the print versions---super, duper charming! Jennifer Lopez’s Hi-Waist Hot Pant: J. Lo is not letting any trend pass her up. She decided on the hi-waist (my favorite cut in whatever!) hot pant and rocked them with red bottoms (of course) with a chic top. Lauren Conrad’s Sailor Hot Pant: Seriously, only this Hills alum can turn hot pants into such an innocent look. The sailor hot pant paired with a nautical stripe top is the way to go for a confusing look. LOL! No, really the flat front is flattering to many shapes and the added details of buttons are completely sweet. Kim Kardashian’s Dressy Hot Pant: Yes, you can dress them up! LOL! The hot pant has truly revolutionized, but it totally works. Kim K’s nude and black ensemble snatches the look altogether with a power shoulder blazer and strappy shoes.
