Legendary Pictures has released a new banner and a high-resolution image of the new Superman “S”. The film company is beginning to stir up some attention for Zack Snyder’s take of the classic superhero movie Man Of Steel.
Henry Cavill plays Superman in this movie. The film also stars Amy Adams who will play Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Laurence Fishburne as the editor-in-chief, Perry White.
Also starring in the film as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, are Kevin Costner and Diane Lane.
Of all the different story lines, which made up the original Superman movies that starred Christopher Reeves, Man Of Steel follows a more similar storyline to that of Superman Part 2.
Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities, a discovery which leads him to make difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. The survivors of the explosion of Krypton are the evil Kryptonian, General Zod (Michael Shannon), and Faora (Antje Traue), Zod’s evil partner, who use their powers to reign destruction on earth. Now Clark Kent must become the Man of Steel to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.
Superman’s Krypton parents, Jor-El and Lara Lor- Van are played by Russel Crowe and Ayelet Zurer. Topping off the cast for the movie are Harry Lennix as U.S. military general Swanwick, and Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy.
Man Of Steel flies into theaters June 14, 2013.
