Meagan Good is engaged! The “Californication” star’s beau, 7th Day Adventist minister DeVon Franklin, proposed last month in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, and she said yes!
Franklin and the “Jumping The Broom” actress have known each other for years, but recently started dating after production wrapped on said comedy in 2011. Meagan starred in the T.D. Jakes film while Franklin, who is also an executive for Sony Pictures Entertainment, produced the fan-favorite.
So, is this fate? Well, maybe.
“The next guy I meet is (going to be my) husband and I already talked to God about that.’I was like, “Check this out Lord, I know what you want for me,” and he really wants a man that has completely sold out for Christ for me, who can help me improve and be better than I am,” the actress said last October.
How will Meagan’s life as a 7th Day Adventist’s first lady might be?
Members of the 7th Day Adventist church are Christians who believe in many Protestant teachings such as the infallibility of the Bible and the Holy Trinity of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Believers also practice some Jewish customs such as recognizing the Sabbath on Saturday and refraining from eating pork.
Meagan was previously in a longtime relationship with NFL player Thomas Jones.
