Kim Kardashian Slaps Back At Jon Hamm's Verbal Attacks

Jon Hamm joins many in the industry and the real world insisting Kim Kardashian is an “idiot.” Wait…a “f****** idiot.”

The “Mad Men” actor blatantly renamed the reality star as he chatted with Elle UK when ratings entered the dialogue, hence setting a Don Draper (his stern character on the popular show) attitude in motion.

“We’re at a place where the idea of being ‘elite’ is somehow considered a negative. Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f****** idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly. And incuriousness has become cool… it’s celebrated.”

Back in January, Daniel Craig’s less than flattering remarks were akin to Hamm’s when he stated Kim was acting like a “f****** idiot.”

Sure, Kim is no Sara Blakely, the newly named Billionaire founder of Spanx and their beginnings are awfully different, but why has Kim become the poster child for being stupid or any other insulting remark? There are many who could be thrown into the fray, but the bombshell’s name is affixed to seething comments.

And the reality star has had it with the attacks, taking to her Twitter account for a well crafted response to Hamm’s surly name calling.

“I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life.”

“We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless,” she added.

Though silence would have spoken best, Kim and her people behind the scene believed it was time to confront these blows.

She has branded herself in a way that is acceptable (to some at least), hence her millions in the bank and multiple thousand dollars Hermes bags (just saying). While I get the unfair factor for those who give sweat and tears to their crafts, we’re living in a different time where no craft on top of missing sweat and tears can transmute to millions. While this is frustrating, Kim didn’t start this. Pam Anderson is a prime example for her sexual escapades being filmed and sold for millions while building a career. I think Hamm and others are aware that bad mouthing fans or any potential fan is indeed stupid. So, the next best action to take? Criticize who fans and potential fans love. Hmmm, isn’t that inadvertence jealousy on the sly?

Is Kim not allowed to live beyond her mistakes? Let’s just bring it up…the tape. If she was hocking the infamous tape still and building this brand solely off that…but joining the reality wave and adding products (seemingly every month, but who’s counting) that are willingly purchased, that’s not stupid—that’s genius. And she should give a class. And to be clear, I mean on branding, a class on branding.
