Kim Kardashian Defends Fake Reality Show And Falling Family Brand

UPDATE-Kim Kardashian defends her family against the naysayers below.

Kim was and is the face of the Kardashian family multi million dollar brand. But it appears that Kim’s failed relationship with husband of 72 days Kris Humphries and the family’s desperate attempt to make him look like the husband from hell is working against the brand. Instead of fending off the growing boycott and heavy criticism over her fake wedding with the new season of ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York’, the Kardashians are digging a bigger hole.

It’s been revealed that Kim’s scene with her mother   Kris Jenner on a recent episode of ‘Kourtney and Kim Take New York’ was fake.

Sources are claiming Kim’s heart to heart with Kris (while in Dubai) about the woes of her troubled marriage to Kris Humphries was completely fabricated.

The Dubai trip was filmed in October and the tearful scene was shot in December.   “This is what is called a pickup scene,” a source tells the New York Daily News. “[It’s] done all of the time. There was a hole in the show’s storyline.”

Where’s the evidence?

The clothing choices are not aligned in both supposed Dubai scenes revealed by Reality Tea. Kim is strategically wearing the same outfit, hair style and earrings for the October and alleged December scene. However, Kris’s outfit is not the same. Her assistant is carrying the purple kaftan-style dress she had worn in the original Dubai scene. Uh-oh.

Before last week’s episode aired, Humphries sent out a cryptic tweet: “I can’t wait for the truth to come out! People will be surprised or maybe they won’t. #FCC.”

Adding more fuel to the “is-it-real” reality fire, Kris Humphries is claiming that Kim planned her entire wedding proposal from him. Though Kris was filmed proposing to the curvaceous beauty in her bedroom; apparently he wanted to propose intimately and romantically away from film crews in Minnesota.

According to RadarOnline, “Kim told Kris how, where and when to propose, it was absolutely no surprise to her whatsoever”. Kim looked so surprised, but she knew it was happening,” a source claims.

All of these issues are causing promoters to pull away and conclude that the Kardashian brand is tarnishing.

Whereas Kim was once paid upwards of $600,000 just to appear at a Tao’s event, owners and event promoters are singing a different tune.

“I’d pay her $600,000 personally not to go to Red Egg,” said Travis Bass, co-owner of the New York City nightspot. “Kim Kardashian would be crushing to us.”

Adding more dissent, R. Couri Hay, a publicist who’s worked with them in years past, told the Post, “I’m bored with them,” and can’t imagine hiring, “Kim Kardashian and her little clunky sisters” again. Ouch.

Beyond making personal appearances, the Kardashian sisters’ relationship with magazines is taking a hit as well. Several major magazine sales have dropped 18 percent in December when any connection to the Kardashains was paraded on the cover.

The Kardashian’s empire seems to be taking a turn for the worse now. Did you see it coming?

Update: Kim K isn’t willing to accept that her brand is losing it’s luster. Kim defended her family on her blog against the New York Post and all others who try to “manipulate” the media,

“We face adversity every week and as you all know, we have always tried to take the high road and continue to work hard. But when the media try to manipulate things and write things that are untrue about our business ventures and our shows, it’s time to step in and correct the lies.

We’re guessing Kim doesn’t think adding a scene in Dubai without explicitly informing the public doesn’t count as lying….
