Katy Perry is experiencing what far too many celebrities are going through, a divorce. Her estranged husband actor/comedian Russell Brand filed for divorce in late December. Katy has not released an official statement but did slam her parents and others who felt the need to speak for her.
It’s no surprise that Katy Perry’s divorce is impacting other areas in her personal life. Relationships are never easy and living our your life in the public eye makes it all the more difficult.
The California Gurls singer told her fans she will be skipping the People’s Choice Awards.
“Unfortunately I will not be able to attend.”
It’s not hard to imagine why…
Lauren Scruggs Post First Message Since Horrific Accident
Fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs responded to her fans and well wishers yesterday for the first time after her tragic helicopter accident.
Scruggs took to her Lolo blog and thanked her followers by stating;
“I don’t know how to thank each one of you, properly, for so much love during this difficult incident in my life. My heart is so grateful beyond what I could ever imagine”
Adding: “So thank you dearly for the sweet encouragements, the precious words in letters and messages, the beautiful grace in pretty presents, but mostly I am so so thankful for you and your loving hearts and sweet spirits.”
Towards the earlier part of December, Lauren was traveling with a family friend via helicopter to view Christmas lights over Dallas Texas. Once the plane had landed, Scruggs unexplainably walked directly into the choppers active propeller blades which caused her to not only loose her left hand, but also sustain several life threatening injuries including as a fractured skull, broken left collarbone and brain trauma.
Lauren was raised in a deeply religious family so it was no surprise that she continued her post by taking time to thank Jesus Christ after surviving her horrific accident;
“I wonderfully know that we are all so adored by the amazing and powerful Lord, and nothing is greater than walking in His planned-out lives. Jesus Christ is imaginably glorious and worthy of all praise even in the hardest moments. Love, Lo.”
Lauren’s mother, Cheryl Scruggs, has also shared their experience after Lauren had her first outing to a Whole Foods last month.
“We had many complete strangers stop us, with tears in their eyes, saying they have been praying for Lo and for our family. Many have told us how the accident has them seriously thinking about how important God needs to be in their lives or how it has helped them refocus where they have gotten off track in their spiritual walk.”
With a support system like this, it’s no wonder Lauren Scruggs is defying the odds as she continues to make positive strides during this painful process. Although her continued recovery will be a tumultuous one, with the love and support of her family we’re sure she’ll ultimately pull through. Good luck Lauren.
