‘Man Down’ singer Rihanna caused a bit of an uproar this past weekend where she performed at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball. Rihanna was joined by One Direction, Jessie J, Olly Murs, Pixie Lott, The Wanted, Calvin Harris, The Saturdays and JLS. Many of the scheduled acts are bands made up of 3 or more people. But it’s reported that Rihanna requested two to four dressing rooms to accompany her entourage of 50. According the UK Mirror, organizers were in a frenzy knocking down walls to accommodate Rihana’s request. (Knocking down walls with only hours to spears???) Whether or not walls were knocked down it is believed that the other bands were forced into a single room while Rihanna enjoyed the luxury and space for her entourage.
“Everyone else performing, including The Wanted, have been forced to cram into a tiny room backstage.Most acts have only been given a plus one, so Rihanna has put a few noses out of joint as organizers have had to lay on food, free drinks and free tickets for her 50-plus entourage,” said a source to the Mirror.
If it’s any consolation, Rihanna was the headlining act and she rocked the house despite allegedly being placed on a 24-hour health watch.
In other news, Rihanna can soothe all the side eyes she was receiving backstage with her latest achievement: Her 2010′(Only Girl) In The World’ has sold 1-million copies in the UK.
