‘All My Children’ alumna Denise Vasi lands lead role On VH1’s comedy series ‘Single Ladies’
[Deadline Reports] ‘All My Children’ star alumna Denise Vasi (who is Grade A gorgeous), gets cast on Vh1’s comedy series ‘Single Ladies’. Stacey Dash was quietly replaced by Vasi after things just didn’t seem to work out on set with Dash and co-star Lisa Raye McCoy. However, Vasi is taking on a completely different character. Vasi will play the role of Raquel, who is a savvy business woman from a prominent southern family on a quest to discover her passion. Queen Latifah didn’t hesitate to display her satisfaction saying, “Denise is the perfect addition to the Single Ladies Cast.”
‘Single Ladies’ is a romantic comedy that follows Keisha, Raquel, and April-best friends with different philosophies on love, sex and relationships, while expressing the vast complexities of contemporary women.
‘Single Ladies’ was created by Stacy A. Littlejohn who is executive producing with Flavor Unit Entertainment’s Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Shelby Stone, as well as Maggie Malina, Alex A. Motlagh and Tamra Davis.
Production on Season Two will begin in Atlanta in January for a premiere in early summer.
