Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes has re-ignited the rumor mill that he is dating Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria. Yesterday morning around 11am Eva Longoria was spotted picking up Matt Barnes from the Los Angeles International Airport. TMZ speculates the early morning favor classifies Matt and Eva as having a “special friendship.” Matt didn’t help things when he attempted to shield his face from the cameras with a black hoodie.
Last month the duo was spotted out several times with eyewitnesses stating they were “very flirty”. Eva quickly denied the claims stating the “press gets it wrong.” Eva’s rep also added, “Eva and Matt are friends and are working together doing charity work for Eva’s Padres Contra El Cáncer. She was at the dinner amongst her other friends.”
But while Eva and Matt were busy dodging dating rumors, Matt’s ex-fiance Gloria Govan added fuel to the fire. She told Sister2Sister magazine,
“I’m not sure if I think they’re rumors. I think at this point having been with Matt, I don’t really put anything past him.” Gloria even implied that Eva Longoria may be a groupie because she’s dating another basketball player after her divorce from San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker.
“Someone who dates multiple players like in the same field is a groupie.”
The only silent party in this mess is Eva Longoria’s actual boyfriend Eduardo Cruz!
