Rihanna has done it again! After sparking major controversy from the graphic images in ‘We Found Love‘, Rihanna persevered and found her way to the top on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts. And RiRi is in great company.
The Calvin Harris produced track is her 11th no. 1 single. Rihanna joins in order, Beatles, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Supremes and Whitney Houston. According to Billboard, on her way to snatching her 11th no. 1 Rihanna surpassed Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
Michael Jackson has 13 and Madonna and the Supremes both have 12, it’s not hard to imagine that Rihanna will likely surpass all three veterans.
Among women, Rihanna ties with Whitney as they both sit behind Mariah with 18 and Madonna with 12.
On another celebratory note, ‘We Found Love’ has since sold over 1 million in digital sales at 1,057,000.
