Clint Eastwood To Star In New Sports Film ‘Trouble With The Curve’

Clint Eastwood may star in a baseball drama called Trouble With the Curve. The story is about an aging baseball scout with eyesight troubles who talks his daughter into going on one last scouting trip to Atlanta with him.

The Warner Bros. script was written by Randy Brown and may be directed by Robert Lorenz, who is currently in negotiations for the project.

This will be the 81-year-old’s first time in nearly 20 years acting in a movie for a director other than himself. Wolfgang Petersen’s In the Line of Fire, released in 1993, was the last film Eastwood played in for another director. “They’re not writing a lot of really great material for guys my age. In lieu of that, I would just prefer to stay behind the camera. But if a great role came along, yeah, I would do that. But actors are like boxers — they stay too long sometimes,” said Eastwood.
