Update-Angelina Jolie cuts to the chase to deny the three incessant rumors about her and her family over the summer. Jolie covers the October 2011 issue of Vanity Fair Magazine and in the interview she puts all the rumors to rest.
Brad and Angelina have consistently claimed they would not marry until same sex partners were able to do so everywhere. So it was quite surprising when recent rumors emerged stating otherwise. But despite reports, Jolie assured Vanity Fair contributing editor Rich Cohen that she and her family were perfectly content with their current set-up by stating;
“There is no secret wedding. I’m not pregnant and I’m not adopting at the moment.”
After immediately squashing the aforementioned rumors, Jolie felt free to discuss her directorial debut in the new movie In the Land of Blood and Honey by expressing how directing left her feeling so much more exposed than acting.
“I’ve never felt more exposed. My whole career, I’ve hidden behind other people’s words. Now it’s me talking. You feel ridiculous when you get something wrong.”
When Cohen asked how the starlet came across the idea of writing a film, she recalled her own exile when she was sick with the flu.
“I had the flu. I had to be quarantined from the children for two days. I was in the attic of a house in France. I was isolated, pacing. I don’t watch TV and I wasn’t reading anything. So I started writing. I went from the beginning to the end. I didn’t know any other way.”
Although Jolie admitted to seeking advice from her long time partner Brad Pitt, she confessed that he may not have always been a fair judge given their emotional connection.
“He’d come in and say what he liked or what he didn’t understand. Like any woman, I would listen to most of it and fight a few things. He’s been so supportive. But it’s hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don’t think he’s a fair judge.”
It looks as though Jolie has a pretty firm grip on her family and career. And although there may not be wedding bells on the horizon, or a new bun in the oven; Angelina Jolie appears in charge and content nonetheless.
While Jolie keeps her home and career in order, she’s making time for her father John Voight. Voight was spotted with Pax and Zahara taking a stroll through a park in London on Saturday.
