By her own admission, Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson no longer stands out in Hollywood. As her weight loss story has taken over her career, J-hud once again dishes on her weight loss. The multi-talented star covers the September issue of SELF magazine. In the issue Jennifer tells how she came to know her weight was a problem in Hollywood. Once at a size 16, Jennifer states she never thought she was overweight, yet she’s more proud of her weight loss than her highest career achievement of winning an Oscar.
“I’m prouder of my weight loss than my Oscar!”
“I didn’t even know I was considered plus-sized until I came to Hollywood,” she tells Self. “I thought I was the perfect size!”
According to Self magazine,
Jenn recalls, when “an interviewer asked, ‘How does it feel to be plus-sized in Hollywood?’ I looked around, like, Who is she talking to? Oh, me? I’m plus-sized? In the neighborhood I’m from in Chicago, a 16 is normal. But in Hollywood, everyone looks exactly the same, so I stood out.”
Kudos for the self love – though sadly for Jennifer at an alleged size zero – no longer stands out in Hollywood.
