In the meantime the world, well not the whole world, awaits the actual wedding day and ponder if it will rival that of the Royal Wedding. Khloe may have alluded to Kim Kardashian’s hopes of topping the Royal Wedding when word of her sister’s engagement first surfaced but with such little time, it’s looking very unlikely – not that Kim’s not trying.
Publicist Jonathan Cheban tells People that Kim almost owes it do her audience to be extravagant!
“I think we’re going for over the top. If they’re going to film (the wedding]), the world is going to want to see something really exciting. It’s Kim,”
“She’s not a movie star, she’s not a pop star, she’s a reality star that everyone’s obsessed with and everyone wants to see. To not give people a huge (ceremony) for them to awe over would be almost bad. It wouldn’t be nice.”
Kim K and Kris have set their wedding date, a strictly black tie affair, for Saturday, August 20, 2011 in Montecito, California.
Kim will likely don a Vera Wang gown as she’s been spotted with the go-to-designer post her engagement and Vera dressed sister Khloe for her wedding.
Kim has dreamed of her wedding day for over a decade and now has more than enough resources to bring it to fruition – would you really be surprised if Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ wedding did not rival the Royal Wedding?!
