Update-Amy Winehouse‘s funeral and cremation was held on Tuesday in London. The private ceremony included the likes of Kelly Osbourne and other close friends to the fallen artist. But the day didn’t go on without a hitch when Grammy nominated singer Keri Hilson caught some major flack for an untimely tweet.
Last night (Sunday) while partying at Juliet in New York, Hilson encountered a fan who she felt had an uncanny resemblance to Amy Winehouse. Instead of doing some self pondering and moving on, Keri decided to do the last thing one should while drinking in the wee hours of the morning; she tweeted.
The remark went as follows;
“*gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/me!!!! (seriously uncanny resemblance)”
Unfortunately for Hilson, Winehouse fans didn’t find the comments that comical and made sure to make Keri aware by continuously re-tweeting their disdain.
“How stupid could @MissKeriBaby b???? If u weren’t weak b4…. Ur definitely THE WEAKEST NOW!!!!!! Not funny honey.” A fan retorted.
Hilson then felt compelled to apologize by sending this follow-up tweet;
“Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever.”

Over in London, fans mourning Amy Winehouse death in the streets were reprimanded for public drunkenness. Which is rather ironic given the tortured life Amy lead. May she rest in peace.
