Nicki Minaj Fights Back Against Alleged Attack Report

There have been new developments in regards to our previous reported story concerning Nicki Minaj‘s alleged hotel scuffle.   TMZ had reported earlier that while Minaj was at the Palomar hotel in Dallas she became involved in a heated argument with an unknown male which supposedly led to her being struck in the lower lip.

It was also reported that after the police arrived on the scene, the unknown male had since fled and Minaj refused to press charges

Nicki felt compelled to blasts the media via twitter to A. Avoid a Chris Brown & Rihanna moment and/or B. Maintain her opening spot on Britney Spears Femme Fatale tour. Minaj and her rumored boyfriend Safaree (AKA Scaff Beezy), released new tweets in an effort to clear up the events though it may cause one to scratch their heads a bit.

Scaff Beezy tweeted Monday:

“Poolside thanking god to be alive…AHHHHHHHH…”

He followed up yesterday stating;

“The general public are some stupid muthaf.’as!!!!Yal d .s believe anything on a website…it’s really a shame…Wut up tho Dallas?!!!”

Minaj chimed in with a series of tweets which also did little to illuminate previous events.

“The fact that u believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face & didn’t leave on a stretcher w/his balls hangin off?

“The media could pee on ur leg & tell u its raining. You’d believe it.   You’d believe u were an adopted martian if TMZ told u so.”

The Dallas Observer has confirmed that a report was filed. So….was Nicki Minaj attacked at the Palomar hotel? Did Safaree play a role in it? Is corn syrup the same as real sugar? Unfortunately these are questions you may have to answer alone.

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
