Jennifer Lopez is slamming down the rumors that she may quit American Idol at the request of husband Marc Anthony. Steven Tyler is set to return due to his multi-year contract, but Jennifer who was certainly a fan favorite may have made the smart move by only signing a one-year contract – can someone say bidding war? That girl sure knows how to create buzz to increase her value.
According to In Touch magazine, Marc Anthony is: “pushing J.Lo to quit Idol” because he wants her “to spend more time with him and their children.”
J-Lo slams the report saying,
“Nobody’s made me make the decision yet, and it could go either way. I’m not saying I didn’t love it. But you know, I only signed up for one year, so the second year… we don’t know yet.”
“I haven’t been forced to make a decision and I’m glad about that because I’m on the fence.I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot of other things happening. It’s going to come down to making a choice of what I want to do for the next year. We’re not really at the breaking point yet.”
Of course the other reason for Jennifer remaining “on the fence” could be because she’s signed on to star in “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” with Cameron Diaz as well as another film with action star Jason Statham, reports USA Today. Not to mention her new Latin talent show with husband Marc Anthony. American Idol may not fit into J-Lo’s tight schedule. But let’s consider that American Idol really helped resuscitate some much needed life back into J-Lo’s career – does she owe anything to the American Idol fans?
