Kate Middleton’s bandage dress crashes retailers website. Kate Middleton officially known as Catherine Duchess of Cambridge and her husband the Duke of Cambridge met with the United States President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in London yesterday. Kate wore a $340 Shola bandage dress from a London high street retailer called Reiss. According to the Washington Post, obscene orders for the dress crashed Reiss’ website twice! A Reiss rep took to twitter with an update stating,
“The dress has now sold out online and in the US, with very limited stock left in UK stores.”
Can’t say we’re big fans of this dress – the color doesn’t do much for Kate’s complexion and the silhouette only accentuates Kate thin frame. This isn’t the first time Kate has caused her fans to rush and replicate her look.
According to the Huffington Post,
Kate’s engagement dress by the same retailer, Reiss, sold out within hours in England. Another hit was Kate’s after wedding day dress by Zara – our personal favorite of the three – was also sold out within hours.
Of course the First Lady Michelle Obama is also known for selling out frocks ever since she stepped out with her mixed separates from retailers like J. Crew to Ralph Lauren. As a bonus we’ve included Michelle Obama wearing a gorgeous white gown from Tom Ford’s women’s collection for the Dinner at Buckingham Palace in London!
