Beyonce, Blake Lively, Anna Wintour, Alicia Keys, Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney, Iman, Jennifer Lopez and many, many more A-listers attended THE fashion event of the year, the Met Gala. The theme for the evening was: “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty”. Alexander McQueen who’s name was instantly known around the world on April 29th for the house that designed Kate Middleton’s royal wedding dress, took his life last year, and the fashion world celebrated his life last night. Sarah Burton who was also in attendance is now creative director of the house and boy is she riding high as of late.
Highlights of the evening: there were many dull looks which we may say is sooo not Alexander McQueen – so we spared you and only chose the looks with something to tell. Another highlight of the evening, Beyonce in Emilio Pucci! First, we loved her gown – gorgeous, chic, risky and rich. Yet despite it all, Beyonce could barely move in her tight fitting gown, she needed assistance walking up the stairs and decided to skip interviews with the press and was subsequently booed – loudly! *Gasp* In the end, the fashion and the memories of Alexander McQueen were the true highlights of the evening. So without further adieu: Critic – Critic – Critic!!
