Nearly one month after “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes canceled some comedy shows to focus on husband Gregg’s health, the reality star-turned comedian is sharing some startling news.
On Instagram, Wednesday, June 13, Leakes shared a photo of her husband of nearly five years next to a monitor with the word “Cancer” crossed out.
“Our New Normal and the fight begins👊🏾 #f—cancer🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾#mdandersoncancercenter #yougotthis #iloveyou,” Leakes captioned her post.
It’s the first confirmation of why her husband has been hospitalized. Previously, Leakes had to shut down speculation that he was receiving treatment for a heart condition. That health battle had been covered on season 10 of RHOA.
But now that the cancer diagnosis is public, fans have been offering their support.
“Let no weapon form against him shall prosper.”

“You’re at the best cancer hospital in the U.S.! You’ve got this, girl! Prayers and love to you and Gregg!”

Additionally, the Leakeses have received backing from other Atlanta housewives, including Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams.
Friend of the show Marlo Hampton and former peach holder Phaedra Parks have also offered prayers. Plus, fellow reality stars Joseline Hernandez and Rasheeda Frost of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” and Monique Samuels of “The Real Housewives of Potomac have offered encouragement.
Comedians Loni Love and Torrei Hart have backed the couple, too.
Leakes has not offered any information as to the kind of cancer her husband is battling.
