NeNe Leakes and Gregg have tied the knot for the second time after the reality star couple called it quits more than a decade ago.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars remarried at the InterContinental Buckhead in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday according to Life & Style.
Leakes hinted at the big day on Twitter where she asked her followers what their plans were for the weekend.
“Got big plans this weekend,” she tweeted. “Cause I do.”
The “Old Hollywood” themed wedding was rumored to be attended by more than 400 guests, which doesn’t surprise us at all considering how much NeNe loves to throw her money around.
She even admitted that after having a big wedding the first time around, she wanted to stick to the large size and just change up the theme.
“I had a big wedding the first time,” the “Glee” actress said back in May. “The only thing I’m going to do different this time is I’m going to have more of a fairytale wedding”
While there weren’t many photos released from the wedding, the entire ceremony and the planning process were filmed for NeNe’s upcoming reality special, “I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.”
So of course NeNe had to call on the aid of her other reality star friends to share in her big day.
Several sources reported that NeNe’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-stars Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton attended the affair.
They weren’t the only other housewives to be invited to Leakes second wedding either. According to the outspoken reality star turned actress, she wanted all of her co-stars to be there because they have taken their journey into reality TV together.
“At the end of the day, we’re all on this same journey together,” she said a few weeks before the wedding. “So I feel we can put our differences aside and [I can] invite them all to my wedding. That would feel really strange working with them and not inviting them.”
Getting remarried also seemed to bring out the soft side of NeNe that we rarely get to see when the cameras are rolling.
She took a few moments to gush about her ex-husband Gregg and even talked about how they would do things differently to make sure their marriage lasted forever.
“We couldn’t be happier,” the 45-year-old New York native said. “Marrying my soulmate is the best feeling I’ve ever had.”
She went on to say that this time around her and Gregg will “work together as a team more.”
NeNe and Gregg first tied the knot back in 1997 and their marriage lasted 14 years until they divorced in 2011.
It was obvious that the pair still had strong feelings for each other, but Leakes insisted that the divorce was just something that needed to happen.
Either way, her teenage son Brentt is just happy to see his parents back together again.
“I’m so happy to see my parents remarried, as a family we’ve never been happier,” he told E! News.
