The most popular song so far from Drake’s recently released album “Nothing Was The Same,” is his R&B ballad “Hold On We’re Going Home.”
In a recent interview with Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson, Drizzy explained that his aspiration for “Hold On We’re Going Home” is to create a song that fans could use as the first dance of a wedding. However Rick Ross has other plans for record as he’s added his rap to the R&B track.
According to rap-up.com:
“Rick Ross caters to the ladies with his smooth remix to Drake’s ‘Hold On We’re Going Home.’ The Maybach Music boss, who announced a Dec. 17 release date for his album Mastermind, lays down a luxurious flow over the top 5 record.
” ‘Fat boy, blue jeans and a gold watch/ Started at the bottom and she rolled on top,’ raps Rozay.’ ”
Drake and Ross have collaborated many times before, and even though this is a remix of an already existing song, the results are still great.
Drake’s Nothing Was The Same album was released last month, and his first week sales were the second biggest of any album this year. Ross hopes to have a similar success with his new album Mastermind, which he recently announced will be out on Dec. 17.
