Kanye West: Stress of Facing Grandfather’s Last Days Led to Paparazzi Debacle

Say what you want about Kanye West and his latest run-ins with the paparazzi—he’s right to be at odds with them. Even though he’s a celebrity, Kanye is 100 percent correct that he has the right to treated like a human being. Kanye has had a couple of contentious incidents with the paparazzi recently, and today West explains why a few months ago he reacted so explosively. Apparently the typically passionate West was extra emotional because his grandfather was dying, which explains his rash judgment.

According to tmz.com:

“What’s amazing is that Kanye not only talked to a few paps … he joked with them while filling up his Lambo today in Calabasas — and then launched into an explanation for why he went ballistic on that photog at LAX back in July.

“Yeezy claims Daniel Ramos set him up by antagonizing him … and it just happened to go down right after he learned his grandfather was dying.”

West was able to keep his cool today, even though one photographer was really trying to agitate him. He went on to tell the cameramen that he understands their job and respects that they will take pictures of him and his girlfriend Kim Kardashian, but reiterates that there should be some level of respect from their side too. He has a point.

Far too often Ye is dismissed as the “angry black guy,” rendering his comments hostile and not to be taken seriously. Yet even though celebrities like West sign up to lose a certain amount of privacy with their fame, they do not deserve to be treated like zoo animals.
