Michael Jordan and his model girlfriend Yvette Prieto finally got married on Saturday and made it very clear why it was taking so long for the couple to plan the big event.
It took M.J and his fiancée longer to plan their wedding than Kim Kardashian actually remained married but after seeing the size of the tent for the reception, nobody is questioning the newlyweds about why it took so long.
It’s been over a year since the couple got engaged back in December of 2011 after five years of dating and their wedding in Palm Beach, Fla. had so many guests in attendance that the NBA legend decided the reception tent would need to be a good two thousand square feet larger than this own mansion.
There were about 2,000 guests at the wedding, but only 500 of them piled into the Episcopal Church Bethesda-by-the-Sea to see M.J become a married man once again.
According to JeffRealty, the luxurious tent officially measures in as “the largest tent in wedding history.”
Sources also revealed that it wasn’t just the size of the tent that was holding things up. The 50-year-old former basketball star wanted to make sure is 35-year-old wife had everything she wanted on the special day.
“They’ve been planning for months and months,” the source said. “He wanted to give Yvette everything she’s ever wanted.”
Of course, it only seems right that Yvette should get whatever she wants since Jordan got exactly what he wanted most this year.
When rumors sparked that M.J. had a 16-year-old son with another woman it seemed like she was well on her way to diving head first into Michael’s bank account.
For some odd reason, however, the Atlanta woman decided to drop the case (for now) because she claimed it would be in her son’s best interest.
“Dismissal at this time, without prejudice, is in her son’s best interests,” her attorney, Randy Kessler, advised.
We aren’t sure how pursuing to know the truth could have negative impacts on her son’s life unless for some odd reason the children at school were mocking him, but if the teenage would have had a thick skin he would have also had the last laugh.
Early on it seemed like it was getting harder and harder to argue against the fact that the teenage boy was M.J’s son. Pam Smith’s story seemed to check out and the young man looked identical to his alleged famous father.
Of course, getting out of the one paternity case on top doesn’t mean Yvette won’t have any step kids. M.J has three grown children from his first marriage to Juanita Vanoy and it’s likely that he also hasn’t seen the last of Pam Smith.
