Ashton Kutcher Divorce: Demi Moore May Request Spousal Support

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore’s divorce is moving forward. Kutcher patiently waited an entire year after Moore threatened divorce but never filed the papers. On Friday, Kutcher filed for divorce.

With Ashton and Demi both moving on with their lives and finding new boos it was surprising to see that it was taking so long for he couple to officially call it quits, but one source believes it was all about pride.

While some sources believed Demi was stalling the divorce process because she was jealous of Ashton’s new girlfriend Mila Kunis, other sources claim that the “Two and a Half Men” actor was simply waiting for his wife to make the first move.

According to TMZ, it was all about dignity and the 34-year-old didn’t want to be the first one to call the entire marriage off. After a year of blatantly ignoring what needed to be done, however, Kutcher has finally filed for divorce.

The couple never had children together so the good news is; there won’t be another high profiled bitter custody battle over any children from these two. In addition, ‘The Two and a Half Men’ star isn’t seeking any spousal support, nor is he asking the court to deny Moore any.

According to the divorce docs, the couple is calling it quits due to “irreconcilable differences.”

Of course, the tabloids have another idea of what really forced Demi and Ashton apart.

Towards the end of their marriage rumors surfaced that the “No Strings Attached” actor had cheated on his 50-year-old wife with a 22-year-old.

Ever since the split, Kutcher did make it obvious that he was ready to start mixing and mingling with younger women again when he started dating Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive and his “That 70s Show” co-star.

The “LOL” actress did announce that she would be divorcing Kutcher back in 2011 but she never actually filed for the divorce.

“As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life,” Moore said when they split in September, around the same time the cheating rumors started.

Kutcher also spoke his mind about the decision to split last year.

“I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi,” he said. “Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail.”

Demi was slow to make the end of her relationship with this year’s highest paid TV actor official with the courts, but she wasn’t quick to make the split official via Twitter.

After the separation Moore quickly changed her Twitter handle from @MrsKutcher to @JustDemi.

In the midst of officially calling for a divorce, Ashton will also be taking on the role of Steve Jobs in upcoming biopic “jOBS,” while Moore is working on her latest film “Very Good Girls” which will be released next year.
