When Chris Brown goes back to court on Nov. 1, he might receive some help from the woman he abused, Rihanna.
Rihanna is prepared to step into the courtroom to help her beloved.
“Rihanna has spoken to Chris since his progress reporting hearing on Monday afternoon and offered her continued support,” a source told RadarOnline. “Rihanna told Chris she would go to court on November 1 for his court appearance and tell Judge Patricia Schnegg that she shouldn’t set a hearing to decide if he violated terms of his probation because he has accepted responsibility for his actions and has apologized to RiRi on multiple occasions.”
This certainly won’t be welcome news for all the domestic abuse advocates out there who believe the “Where Have You Been” star is exhibiting classic symptoms of the abused woman.
“Rihanna would also tell the judge that Chris isn’t the same person now, as he was on that fateful night when he assaulted her. Rihanna doesn’t care if she is criticized for standing by Chris, she genuinely loves him,” the insider added.
Brown appeared in court Monday in Los Angeles, where it was made public that Brown tested positive for marijuana back in June in Virginia when he was fulfilling his community service. The test result may be a violation of his probation for the 2009 assault of Rihanna. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg scheduled a hearing for November 1 to determine whether Brown violated his probation.
The judge said that Brown produced a medical marijuana card after the positive test—though it wasn’t clear why Brown would need medical marijuana.
While mandatory drug testing was not a condition of Brown’s probation, according to Schnegg, she still made another court date for November to see if Brown’s actions on the marijuana and other matters, such as travel restrictions, constituted probation violation.
As he sat before her in court, Schnegg gave the 23-year-old Brown a warning, reminding him that he was a role model.
“You are not an ordinary person who can sit in your living room and do whatever you want to do,” Schnegg told Brown. “More importantly, a lot of people look up to you, a lot of kids. What you do and what you say impacts a lot of people.”
Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, said his client had “completed all of his community service.”
The Virginia probation department also said in the probation report that Brown had violated terms of his travel restrictions.
Rihanna tweeted words of encouragement before the progress report hearing to Chris, and he responded! “’@rihanna: @chrisbrown I’m praying for you and wishing u the best today!’ : thank u so much.”
