Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj are just a few of the pop stars who have partnered with MAC in the past, so Banks is in good company and is quickly establishing herself as a rising star. When you nail a major cosmetics partnership like this, it’s pretty indicative that pop culture is paying attention to you.
The lipstick is a deep plum, semi-matte shade and is named after Banks’ alter ego. The color is as bold as the woman who inspired it!
The Yung Rapunxel lipstick is available for a very limited time. The U.S.-only shade be sold online as of Sept. 5 and at all MAC retailers on Sept. 6. It will be available through Sept. 20 so if you like the rich, regal shade, nab one (or three) ASAP. Since once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Banks will perform at the Soho MAC store on Sept. 6 as part of Fashion’s Night Out. The performance will stream on the MAC Facebook page on Sept. 7 at 1PM ET for a one-time-only viewing.
