Shannen Doherty has recently showed sympathy for Kim Kardashian and what she is going through after having her short-lived marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries destroyed.
Like Kardashian, the “90210” star has had two blink-of-an-eye marriages herself.
“My one or two other marriages … weren’t so great, and they were quickie. My heart goes out to her. I know that,” said Doherty. “I also applaud anybody who gets out of something if it’s not working regardless of the terrible jokes and press that’s going to come at them.”
Doherty’s first marriage was when she tied the knot with Ashley Hamilton in 1993 and separated just five months later. After that, she had another quick marriage to Hollywood playboy Rick Saloman, the costar of the infamous Paris Hilton sex tape.
The actress recently tied the knot with photographer Kurt Iswarienko, and feels confident that the third time is the charm.
“I truly, truly, truly believe in love, and I may have messed it up once or twice before. But, you know, I met Kurt, and the world sort of stood still for a second. He just instantly sort of felt like my best friend. And I thought Okay, this is different from what I felt before. So this one is going to stick.”
