Beyonce and Jay-Z brought in the New Year with some huge performances, and Jay-Z even called on the help of a few famous pals to help usher in 2013.
The megastar couple didn’t get to ring in the New Year together (Bey’s performance was in Vegas while Jay was holding down his hometown of Brooklyn), but they did get to bring in 2013 doing what they loved.
The passionate musicians were both rocking the stage at the stroke of midnight, and in New York Mr. Carter was bringing all his special celeb friends on stage to share in the lime light.
The 43-year-old had his good friend, and Beyonce’s BFF, Gwyneth Paltrow join him on stage as the crowd went wild.
The 40-year-old actress and singer reached out to touch the hands of her many adoring fans while Jay went on performing.
Paltrow wasn’t the only famous face to grace the stage however.
Jay-Z was performing as a part of Coldplay’s New Year’s Eve gig at the Barclays Center so it was only right that Paltrow’s and Chris Martin’s kids Apple and Moses joined their famous parents on stage.
The children’s friend Sophia also got the lucky chance to dance on stage with the group of celebrities.
Meanwhile, there were just as many famous faces in the crows as there were on stage.
Taylor Swift and her current boy toy Harry Styles were caught hugged up at the concert along with Cheryl Cole and her boyfriend Tre Holloway.
The ever so lovely Adrienne Bailon was also spotted in a dazzling fitted black gown, while Christina Aguilera dressed it down with a red cheetah print jacket, some fabulous black boots, and her man Matthew Rutler as the perfect accessory.
We’re pretty sure all the famous faces got their drink on while attending the function thanks to Jay-Z.
The hip hop mogul spent over $405,000 on drinks alone for the big New Years Eve bash. Of course, it didn’t take much to rack up the major bar tab once you consider the expensive taste in drinks that Blue Ivy’s daddy has.
The “Empire State” rapper ordered hundreds of cases of Armand de Brignac Gold bottles which are worth almost $500 for one bottle.
To top it all off he also ordered a 4 ft tall 30-liter Gold Midas Bottle which has cost some celebs a whopping $194,868.
Meanwhile, Momma B ditched the straight hair for her usual big curly do and rocked some dazzling ensembles for her New Year’s Eve bash in Las Vegas.
The private concert at the Wynn Hotel was an invite only affair and reportedly put a nice $4 million check in Queen Bey’s pocket.
The audience was extremely small compared to the usual stadiums full of people that the “Countdown” songstress usually performs for. This private get together only housed 700 lucky audience members who got to bring in 2013 with the reigning Queen of R&B.
She posted a few pics to her Instagram account as she flaunted several over the top, but sexy looks.
One striped ensemble fitted the curvaceous mommy perfectly while her silver romper seemed like it would let the “twins” loose at any given moment if it wasn’t for the cleverly placed sheer panel.
Later on in the night she switched into a stunning yellow outfit and even teared up during her emotional performance.
Before she hit the stage in Vegas, however, she posted a special message on her website.
“In our perfect ways/ In the ways we are beautiful, In the ways we are human – WE ARE HERE,” the message read. “Happy New Years. Let’s make it ours.”
Blue Ivy’s mom will be starting her year off on the right foot as she is scheduled to perform at the 2013 Super Bowl in February and will bringing 100 lucky fans on stage with her.
