‘We Found Love’ singer Rihanna will expand her brand repertoire when she teams with Sky Living HD to executive produce a Britain based fashion television show later this year. The yet titled show will be hosted by Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts and is part of Sky’s commitment to boost its investment in original British content by 50 percent over the next three years.
The singer-model’s main role is to help shape the show while searching the UK over for its next generation of fashionable go-tos who will take on the task of creating outfits for a plethora of musicians and celebrities during the course of the series…a la “Project Runway”. However, instead of a contract, the winner will be gifted with the honor of designing an outfit for Rihanna to perform in at the Wireless Festival in London on July 8.
The singer who recently started a Twitter frenzy with a Tupac tatoo, was seen out dining in a pair of ‘tape measure’ shoes with black harem pants, and a slinky, see-through tank exposing her nipple in a well intended wardrobe malfunction – for this look and many, many others Rihanna should be fit right in with having an eye for what’s hot.
Though the fashionable on-trend pop singer will work mostly off-screen, she is set to make appearances from time to time.
“I have been very fortunate to work with some truly amazing designers and stylists throughout my career, and they have been instrumental in making sure my creative vision reaches the stage,” said Rihanna in a statement. “I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show.”
The show is being developed for Sky by Warner Brothers which is owned by Twenty Twenty Productions— part of the Shed Media group the studio acquired last year.
