UPDATE-Demi Moore admits that changing her Twitter name doesn’t exactly rank high on her things to do at the present moment.
The 49-year old actress recently responded to Twitter criticisms asking why she has yet to change her handle, @mrskutcher, given her pending divorce to Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher.
“Changing my twitter name isn’t a top priority right now. Sorry it bothers so many of u. Should I not tweet until I do? Does it really matter?”
After being together for roughly eight years, six of which were married years, Ashton and Demi’s relationship imploded amid claims of infidelity.
As you may recall, Kutcher was outed for having an affair with 22-year old model Sara Leal on the same week he was celebrating his sixth (and consequently last) wedding anniversary with Demi Moore.
Later, Leal revealed that the rumors surrounding her escapade with Kutcher have since ruined her life and career.
“It was insane. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It might have seemed like I was asking for it, but I wasn’t.”
She went on to admit that some of her family even alienated her and she received harassing phones from individuals she knew.
“My dad wouldn’t even talk to me, and I got a lot of disturbing phone calls, even from my friends’ parents”
Leal continued;
“I got fired from my job. I am no longer friends with my best friend who was my roommate because it caused so many problems and I had to move out. I wasn’t working for two months, and I only just started working three weeks ago. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.”
Aww…poor girl. We’re sure the money she collected from spilling the sordid details to various magazines will help dry her tears.
Demi on the other hand was done crying when she released a statement this past November that her relationship with Ashton was finally at an end.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.”
Let’s just hope Demi moves forward and changes her Twitter handle soon. I mean really, that’s just creepy.
Update: While Demi is taking her sweet time to change her Twitter handle, her daughters Scout, Tallulah and Rumer have moved on with a new name for Ashton! According to the Stir, Ashton was once known by the sisters as ‘My Other Dad’ or MOD but after the repeated cheating allegations and lying to the girls face about the recent affair Ashton has received a new name, ‘Major Offensive D*ckhead.’ Of course Demi doesn’t have to stoop to those levels but the girls got their point across and Demi needs to do the same.
