Rihanna performed on both nights of UK’s 2011 V Festival on Saturday and Sunday night at Hylands Park in Chelmsford. The singer rocked her usual short-shorts with her new signature curly hairstyle. Rihanna tweeted after her first performance

After her second performance, Rihanna along with her girlfriends headed off to the French Riviera to board a 34ft luxury yacht….where he singer is enjoying a mini-vacation.
While Rihanna undoubtedly had a stellar year with the 2010 release of LOUD, she landed no solo nominations from MTV for the VMAs. The album spawned three number ones: Only Girl In The World, What’s My Name and S&M.
The latter video was not only banned in several countries but Rihanna is also facing a lawsuit for allegedly stealing the work of famed photographer David LaChapelle. Still Rihanna produced another three singles from the album; Raining Men, California King Bed, and Man Down. Man Down also caught it’s fair share of criticism. Riri is reportedly also working on a video for Cheers, I’ll Drink to That.
In the end, Rihanna only received two nominations for her features on Kanye West and Eminems’s tracks. The singer is currently on a mini-vacation in France but the bigger question is; Will she return to the US for the Sunday night’s VMAs? With her counterparts Katy Perry and Lady Gaga receiving nominations, was Rihanna snubbed and should she remain on her vacation and boycott the awards?
