Update-Jennifer Lopez gave her first post-divorce announcement interview and looked smoking hot while doing it! J Lo sat down with Vanity Fair. Jennifer seemed poised and comfortable as she candidly discussed love, life and the reasons leading up to the breakdown of her marriage to Marc Anthony.
When asked to describe her current state of mind, Lopez revealed that the relationship became toxic;
“It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself-if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now.”
Lopez also added;
“I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic, and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”
Notice how J Lo seems to compliment Marc on everything other than his skills as a husband? Possibly a very telling sign on how disconnected the couple came towards the latter part of their marriage.
However, Lopez is far from moping. With a new contract with American Idol reportedly worth just over $20million, currently filming “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and an action film in the pipeline; J Lo is smiling all the way to the bank, and lets be honest, with money like that, who needs consoling?
From the sounds of that snippet from Vanity Fair, Jennifer Lopez is moving full speed ahead!
