An Oklahoma City Thunder spokesman says rapper Lil Wayne’s assertion that he feels unwelcome to attend Thunder games on the basis of race is “ridiculous.”
“Not even worth commenting on,” said Dan Mahoney, Thunder vice president for communications and community relations, of Lil Wayne’s comments to the Associated Press following a ticket dispute with the team.
The Grammy Award-winning musician said he was denied a late request for courtside tickets to Game 3 of the Western Conference finals here. The team said he was welcome to attend.
“We’d love to have him at a game, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket,” Mahoney said Thursday.
