‘FINALLY, A GOOD IDEA’: Tamera Mowry Is Down for a ‘Twitches 3’ Film Opposite Chloe X Halle and Fans Are Here For It

Go Twitches! Tamera Mowry has officially given a third iteration of the Disney Channel movie, starring her and her sister Tia as twin witches, her blessing, and is open to two exciting cast additions.

The 2005 Disney Channel Original Movie made a mark on fans after its release, and in the age of Hollywood reboots and revamps, it’s no surprise that there have been questions about whether the network will be revisiting the twin witches and their kingdom of Coventry any time soon.

Tamera is definitely on board with the idea and would love to see sister-singing duo Chloe X Halle star as the newest generation of witches. “I would love it,” the 42-year-old actress told People about whether she’d be open to the “Grown-ish” stars joining the cast. “I love those girls. I think that would be sick.”

She added, “All we need is Disney to be down. It could be a fun Disney+ kind of movie. I think that would be dope.”

Her one caveat about the whole project is that it should make sense creatively. “I mean, it’s not that my sister and I don’t want to do it,” she told the website. “I think creatively it has to make sense.”

Chloe, 22, and Halle, 20, mentioned during a previous Instagram Live chat that they love the Mowry sisters and the “Twitches” film and would love to star opposite them, but not as their daughters.

“Y’all don’t know how much we love Tia and Tamera and y’all don’t know how much we love ‘Twitches,’ ” Chloe said according to CheatSheet.com. “Now, they look so good I don’t think they could play our moms.”

“Yeah … they could not play our mothers,” agreed Halle. “I think they could play like our aunts.”

If Disney is wondering whether fans will be interested in moving forward with the third installment, based on the excitement that the mention of it stirred online, it seems like a safe bet.

“YESSSS FINALLY A GOOD IDEA”

“Don’t say it if you ain’t gone do it! Don’t get my hopes up 🥺🤧”

“Finally something we asked for😭 Hope they make it happen”

“I’M HERE FOR IT! Please make this happen Disney! 😩❤️”

“Omg 11 year old me is jumping for joy right now”

Disney Channel has brought back plenty of hits in recent years, including “That’s So Raven” continuation “Raven’s Home,” and “Girl Meets World,” which followed “Boy Meets World” sweethearts Corey and Topanga as they raised their own children.

If “Twitches 3” were to be green-lit, it would mark the sisters’ first onscreen acting reunion since 2007’s “Twitches Too.”
