Love is in the air for the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” diva Nene Leakes and her husband, Gregg Leakes.
The tumultuous couple’s marriage made it to 2020 as the two celebrated New Year’s Day, on Wednesday, Jan. 1, with family.
“HAPPY NEW YEAR,” Leakes wrote for their caption before hashtagging “#theleakes #familyforlife #2020goals.”
Dazzling with their “Happy New Year” hats, the couple had fans swooning in Leakes’ comments.

Leakes has been there for husband Gregg throughout their on-again, off-again marriage. The couple wed in 1997 and divorced in 2011, but soon remarried in 2013 in a ceremony that was televised on “RHOA.”
Later in the Bravo series, fans watched as Leakes took care of the 63-year-old real estate investor as he fought stage 3 colon cancer.
Gregg was diagnosed with colon cancer on May 5, 2018, but after several months he underwent successful surgery and has been cancer-free since May 2019.
However, while Gregg was battling cancer, Leakes mentioned that her husband was being “mean, grouchy, and evil” in a Twitter post. Gregg later apologized to his wife in an Instagram post on Jan.14, 2019.
On June 16, 2019, Leakes took to Instagram to wish her husband a healthy “Happy Father’s Day.”
“Happy Healthy Father’s Day, Gregg! It’s all about you today. You are blessed! We love you @greggleakes,” Leakes’ photo caption read of Gregg looking dashing in a navy blue and black suit.
Fans flooded the comments to wish Gregg “Happy Father’s Day” and complimented him on looking healthy.

On May 9, 2019, Leakes received an honor from the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies for her role as caretaker of Gregg while he battled cancer.
While some fans felt she didn’t deserve the honor, apparently the ABC’s and Gregg believed so.
